The top 3 performing BCs based on the highest number of converted Express Post large

With the rest of our outlets focussing on Stamp Collecting month, Business Centres will
have their own mission in October.
The 3kg & 5kg large satchels enable Express Post to better compete with its major competitors
in the “next day” delivery market, such as TNT, Toll and Star Track. Broadly speaking, Express
Post large satchels are suited to business customers who
*regularly require guaranteed next day delivery
*send bulkier items which:
- weigh less than 3kg but are too big to fit into a regular 3kg satchel
- are too heavy for 3kg satchels so require a 5kg satchel
*sell directly to end users via hardcopy or online catalogue
*have no requirement for tracking or a signature.
SIGNING UP LARGE SATCHEL CUSTOMERS
To limit the impact of large satchels on current Express Post Parcel sales, while enabling
Express Post to directly compete in the large satchel market, the large satchels are only
available from sales representatives and business centres to customers who complete a
contract with Australia Post.
What does the customer need to do?
If a customer wishes to purchase Express Post large satchels, they must:
* have a charge account with Australia Post or they can be on a cash account ($0 credit limit);
* agree to purchase the satchels in minimum lots of 10 (one ten pack) and make a minimum
annual purchase of 100 satchels;
* complete an Express Post “Large Satchels Agreement” form (8839063) including a
dispersion profile;
* obtain Australia Post’s agreement to their application to purchase large satchels.

In the last 2 weeks of October (to avoid school holiday period), a new Unaddressed Mail
campaign will come into effect to help increase awareness of these Express Post products.
They will be sent out to business in your area and each BC Manager will be issued with a
further 1,000 copies to place in business post office boxes, customer “take ones” and any
other local opportunity.
